Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Posterify collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

When you submit the trip planning form we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, optionally a WhatsApp number, your country, your travel dates and party size, your stated interests, and notes about what you have already booked.

We also record, automatically, which page you arrived on, the website that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you clicked. We use this only to understand which of our articles and adverts produce genuine inquiries.

The form saves your progress as you move between steps. This means that if you begin the form and do not finish it, the answers you had already given may be stored.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your inquiry and prepare a guiding quote.
• To check the guide's availability against your dates.
• To send you pre-trip information relevant to your booking, such as the entry-document checklist.
• To understand which marketing channels work, in aggregate.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
• We do not add you to a marketing list because you submitted a planning request. Marketing emails only happen if you separately ask for them.
• We do not take payment through this website, so we never hold your card details.

Who we share it with

Your trip details are shared with the guide named on this site, because he needs them to confirm availability and plan your days. Beyond that, we use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — stores inquiry records in a secured database.
• Resend — delivers the emails we send you.
• Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.

How long we keep it

Inquiry records are kept for up to three years, because Easter Island trips are frequently postponed and travellers often return to a plan they started long before. Incomplete form submissions are deleted after twelve months. You can ask us to delete your record sooner at any time.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you have these rights under the GDPR; in Canada, under PIPEDA. Email hello@posterify.org and we will act on it within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on this site. Any analytics we run are privacy-focused and aggregate, and do not build a profile of you across other websites.
